November 14th, my house was broken into and my new saxophone was stolen. This could not have come at a worse time since doctoral auditions are just around the corner. I also use my saxophone for teaching private lessons to students in middle/high school, as well as performances around New Mexico. I have spent the last week and a half looking at pawn shops and keeping my eyes peeled on the internet for it but it has yet to show up. Insurance isn't going to cover the full cost of the stolen instrument and I do not have the funds to buy a new one, so I am hoping to raise money as quickly as possible in order to get a new saxophone of the same quality. This would allow me to put my best foot forward for these auditions. I will still be keeping an eye out for the saxophone that was stolen, but I figured that it would be smart to start asking for help sooner rather than later. I am going up to Colorado to try saxophones on December 3rd, and am hoping to at least have enough to make a down payment for it.Your support in this endeavor would mean a great deal to me. This would be a huge help in my academic and career goals.Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
