New Hanover Presbyterian Church will house up to 35 men currently experiencing homelessness this Christmas. Our guests will arrive on December 23 around dinner time, and will be with us until the morning December 30.
New Hanover Presbyterian will host up to 35 men experiencing homelessness the week of 12/23 to 12/30. We house them, feed them, often clothe them, but most important we talk to them. We hold space for them. We give them our attention.
They arrive on 12/23 around dinner time. They will either be new to the experience - weary and scared -- or will have been at another church the week before -- weary and potentially feeling defeated. We follow Christ's direction: "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me."
While clearly funds help, your time and attention would be great. You can sign up for service here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080c4aa5a62baafd0-20171
Thank you for helping these folks. They are just like us, but without a home.
