National Stuttering Association (NSA)

National Stuttering Association (NSA)

From Ryan Chehab

I just came back from the National Stuttering Association Conference, and it was an experience to remember! I have met the most amazing people there! My goal is to raise money for the National stuttering association.

I started to stutter when i was 8-9 years old, i was enrolled in a school speech program, once i was deemed "Ready to move" which i did, my speech was a lot better from there. Little did i know my speech Impediment would come back 10x worse when i was in 7th grade.Imagine not being able to say your OWN name in class. My speech Impediment reached a peak during my freshmen year of high school (I am now a senior in high school). The toll it has taken on my mentally was ridiculous. So i enrolled in speech therapy again, it helped a lot. My speech therapist told me about the National Stuttering Association (NSA), which i was skeptical about it at first, i started doing research on it, and found that there will be a conference in baltimore, so i talked to my mom about, and she signed me up. The conference was AMAZING, the 4 days i was at the conference helped me more than a years worth of speech therapy. The reason of this fundraiser is to help the NSA gain awareness, to help kids all over the world. Thank you for your time.
