MTM's Dream Fund

MTM's Dream Fund

From Meghan Randolph

We're fundraising to make dreams come true. Not just for us, but for people in our community. Increased payment of artists. A rehearsal and studio space to share. And more outreach, education, and opportunities.

"You gotta think big! Aim high! Why walk when you can fly?" -from john & jen.

MTM started as a dream. A dream of thought-provoking musicals in Madison. A dream of a place for artists to be paid for their work. Nearly 14 years later, we have accomplished so many dreams thanks to the amazing supporters who make our work possible.

Now we're dreaming bigger. We're dreaming of more ways we can support our community. More ticket deals and discounts. More outreach performances at schools and libraries. Increased educational opportunities using local experts. Building our internship program. A space for rehearsals and readings that we can share with other performing arts companies in the community. And, above all, continuing to increase payments for our artists.

Dreams are at the heart of what we do. This year we saw dreams come true because of our amazing supporters. Our first fully developed world premiere, HEPHAESTUS. Our first national grant. Being part of a feature in American Theatre Magazine. Collaborations with Arts For All, XTension Dance Company, and Madison Public Libraries. The start of our next Wisconsin-written musical. Our hearts soared, tears welled in our eyes, and we saw smiles on the faces of our audiences.

Your support as we go into 2020 is crucial. We have so many big dreams planned for our upcoming year, including:

  • Presenting Indecent, a stunning play with music presented with discussions led by experts from across Madison.
  • Workshopping our second Madison-developed musical, Ten Days In A Madhouse
  • Reviving Beyond The Ingenue with songs written by emerging composers
  • Bringing back, for one last time, the heartwarming john & jen with Paul Milisch and Meghan Randolph reprising the roles they played in 2008 and 2011.
  • Building our internship program
  • Beginning to search for a building to become our studio and rehearsal space.

The biggest dream we've ever had, an audience that supports and loves what we do, has already come true. Any amount you can contribute to help us continue toward our goals is very, very appreciated.
