Mount Pleasant Cemetery dangerous trees

Mount Pleasant Cemetery dangerous trees

From Adrian Burrington

I'm raising money to fund the removal of many dead and dangerous trees in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in St. Johnsbury Vermont. This cemetery is very important to the town and holds many of the towns founders.

More Info

This cemetery is very important to the town, it was opened in 1853 and holds more than 16000 people including many of the founders of this town. It also holds the states oldest crematorium with the original machines still being used. Many people use this area as a place to get outside and exercise as well as visit loved ones. So falling trees pose a threat to the people who sue the cemetery as long as the graves and monuments, which are generally thousands of dollars.
