Update #4

I want to thank all of you who made this campaign so successful! I was really in the biggest pickle of my life, and honestly for the first time in my life I did not know what I would do, I couldn't come up with a single plan. I really thought it was the end of everything. No car, no cash no home in a strange town where I knew no one. I targeted a very modest amount that I thought would help me eat and have a hotel room for a couple of nights. I remember going to bed that first night in the back of my freezing immobile car, panicked about what I was going to do, and then I woke up the next morning to such incredible generosity and love I can't tell you how it touched me. It changed me.
Now I am in Oklahoma, doing some delivery work, and working on the title and registration for the car that I was gifted during all of this. When this is done I'll be heading back home, free of suffocating debt for the first time in years, and back working at what I love. In fact there may be a short film out of my travels this time, since its the first time I've done some video reports all through the adventure and I think it will come together into something.
It's a tough road, this life, for all of us I think. Whether you are an artist, a soldier, a corporate cubicle dweller or a teacher or salesman or minister. Sometimes it seems like we are all just trudging along, wondering if we matter at all. You all matter. You made a huge difference. You've all lightened my load and given me courage and strength, and I look forward to creating work that does the same for the world, thanks to you. More than anything you've taught me something. I hope you are blessed beyond measure for your kindnesses.
And just a bit of housekeeping-everyone should have received a personal email from me thanking you for your support and if you have not PLEASE let me know. It's so important to me that people know how much they are appreciated. Sometimes emails go into spam folders, or aren't delivered, or whatever. And if there is anything I can do for you, any films of mine you wanted to see but missed for example. Let me know, and a link will be on its way to you!
I am so excited about the rest of this coming year!

Update #1

I am here at the Morrison Library, it is only open for a couple hours today but it so nice to be able to type fast on a full keyboard and large screen. I want to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for your help here. Even more than the money (which I know doesn't come easy to any of us) I can feel the love. And thanks to the anonymous folks too.
There used to be so much I never shared with people, especially about money, because I was embarrassed. But as time goes on, swiftly, swiftly, I realize it doesn't matter. Telling the truth as much as I can in my personal life and in my work. Some seem to like it, some not, some don't care. Shaking the bad fruit from the tree in a way. I only wnat to spend the rest of my time here on earth with people who love and accept me as I am.
Much much love. You should all be receiving a personal email from me also but I don't know if they are going through so if you don't let me know please.
