This is a legacy fundraising page for 5 year old Eva, who lost her Mommy to a hard fought battle with cancer on 08/04/2018. Morgan was 36 years old, and wanted Eva’s future to be bright, despite her absence.

Last night, there was an outpouring of love and support for Morgan and our family. We can never thank you all enough for the countless donations, prayers and words of encouragement. This page will be kept up until September 1st to allow anyone else to view or donate.
Again, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
For those who missed the service, this was part of the memorial for Morgan...just a small glimpse of what she means to all of us.
God Bless You all!
Fly High, Morgan!
Morgan Madonia was the second youngest of 12 children. She is a mother to Evangeline(Eva), who just turned 5 years old on June 1st. Eva is Morgan’s entire world, and their world has been a fight for the last year, and truly a large chunk of Eva’s life. When Eva was a baby, it was discovered that Morgan had an aggressive form of breast cancer. She had a double mastectomy, and aggressive rounds of chemo and radiation. For a couple of years, she believed she was cancer-free, and had likely beaten the monster that is Cancer. A year ago, after having hip pain for an extended time, and thinking she was being a wimp, it was discovered that the cancer had returned, and a large tumor had fractured her hip and pelvis. After subsequent scans, we were heartbroken to discover that Morgan’s cancer was in the majority of her body, including 30 lesions in her brain. Morgan began the fight of her life, determined to beat Stage 4 cancer. She has fought hard and bravely, but the cancer treatments proved to be catastrophic to her body, and minimally effective on the cancer. More than a month ago, the decision was made to stop all cancer medications, and live out her life. On Friday, June 22, Morgan fell from her bad, and was rushed to the hospital. She suffered a brain bleed and concussion, and lost feeling and function on the right side of her body. She is currently in a Hospice Home, being made comfortable. Morgan is afraid. She does not want to die. She does not want Eva to grow up without her. As any mother, she has hopes, dreams and desires for the beautiful little girl that she has blessed our family with. Evangeline is a beautiful, smart, loving little girl, who loves her Mommy, and has seen and heard more than any little girl should. She wanted her Mommy to “not be sick anymore,” and to be able to play with her. Morgan can’t give Evangeline what she so desperately wishes she could: her presence and existence as she grows. What she can leave her is a legacy, to carry out the hopes and dreams she has for her life. Morgan worked hard her entire life before cancer debilitated her. She worked in healthcare, put herself through school, and has worked since she was a kid. Over a year ago, that all had to stop. She can’t leave Eva what she truly desires, but the hearts of wonderful people have come through every time we have asked during her fight. The graciousness of others, has given Morgan a little light in the darkness and fears she faces. The people who love her are going to lift up Eva, and Morgan’s legacy will carry on. Thank you for listening, and your willingness to contibute to Morgan’s legacy. Her beauty and bright spirit will carry on in Evangeline, and we are so thankful to have a piece of Morgan to love after she left us. We lost her on August 4th, and this is the beginning of helping Eva navigate life without her Mommy.

It is with a heavy heart that the Madonia family shares with you the following news:
A little before 0630 hours this morning, Eva's Mommy, Morgan, took her final breath. While we are completely heartbroken and devastated, we take solace in knowing that she now has no more pain, fear, or sorrow. She and Gina likely had the most amazing and joyful reunion one could ever imagine.
In an effort to ease the burden on my family, please refrain from texting or calling them for questions, condolences or updates. Cards are welcome, but direct all correspondence to [email protected]. Alex , my Dad, and my Aunts and Uncles need time to process and grieve. Thank you for your understanding.
Services are pending, and I will update when we have that information.
We need your prayers. Please pray for healing, comfort, and peace. But, most importantly, please pray for sweet Eva. Oh sweet, Eva, we love you so....we can't wrap our heads around Eva living a life without her Mommy. She has an amazing Mother, and it she will always have her with her, it will just be different now.
Morgan Elizabeth Madonia....we already miss you. The world became a little dimmer this morning. Eva and the rest of us will miss you forever.

Lee Asher Photography blessed our family with this beautiful photo shoot of Morgan and Eva. These memories will be something that Eva and our family will cherish forever.
Cancer sucks. I don’t know how else to say it. It’s not fair. And while our family struggles with the pain and emotion of watching Morgan fight for every moment, we cannot being to understand the pain Morgan is experiencing. Yes, she has indescribable physical pain, which can be somewhat controlled with meds....but, the pain of knowing she’s dying is a pain that is incomprehensible. She knows that someday soon, she’ll never hold Eva again. She knows that while she’s poured so much love and knowledge into her short 5 years, she won’t get to watch her grow. Ive heard Morgan tell Eva so many times, “You’re going to grow up and be STRONG Evangeline!” She wants nothing more than to watch that little girl grow into a strong, caring woman. Cancer is stealing her front row seat to Eva’s life. It’s not fair. However, Evangeline will grow up to be a strong woman, because Morgan Madonia is her mother. Morgan Madonia is the bravest woman I’ve ever known. She has continued to fight this fight with courage and dignity, and she’s fought longer than anyone imagined. She’s done it all for Eva. Eva is the glue that holds the Madonia family together. She has been Morgan’s lighthouse in the storm, and she will be ours. And we will forever remind her of the brave, beautiful, amazing woman she has for a Mother.
Morgan sleeps most of the day in the hospice house, but she still fights for life every day. Her cancer-riddled body is tired. We don’t want her to go, but want her to know it’s okay to rest. She’s done good. We are so incredibly proud of her.
Morgan Elizabeth Madonia....you’re our world...and our hero.
Thank you for holding Morgan, Eva and the whole family in your prayers. We know there is light through this darkness, for we see it in Evangeline.
