Thank you David & Joungmin for showing us some love!
You don't have to wait for Giving Tuesday - support us any time online, and help us spread the word!
2017 has already been an amazing year of musical adventures. Mivos has performed to enthusiastic crowds in Berlin, The Bronx, San Francisco, Switzerland, Alaska, Nebraska, Minnesota and Ohio, among many more. We've had the privilege of presenting new works by composers such as George Lewis, Anahita Abbasi, Genoël von Lilienstern, Cenk Ergun and Vera Stanojevic. Mivos has also premiered scores of new pieces by young composers in over seven residencies this year so far. We are happy to have ongoing relationships with June In Buffalo, The Walden School, and VIPA in Spain, where we get to work intensely with student composers and performers each summer. Everywhere we go, we are continually impressed and inspired by the breadth and vitality of new music across the globe.
If you believe in the work that Mivos Quartet is engaged in, we ask that you consider making a tax-deductible donation during our fall fundraiser. There are many costs that need to be covered in order to make the music happen, and the generous support of individuals like you is an integral part of us fulfilling our mission - to champion amazing new music across the globe and help develop the young composers and performers of the next generation.
Your support will help us realize these exciting upcoming projects:
December tour to China for concerts and workshops
Educational residencies across three continents: North America, Europe, and Asia
Two composition prizes: The Mivos/Kanter Prize and I-Creation Prize
Recording the next Mivos Quartet album
We are grateful for all of you who have supported us so far. Thank all of you in advance for your generosity.
Olivia, Lauren, Mariel, & Victor
