With more than 40 million people currently enslaved, the scope of the problem is staggering.  Worse, even those who want to help have no idea where to start. 

The Passover seder is Judaism's most popular ritual, and matzo is the protagonist.  Matzo is supposed to be a catalyst for the conversations and actions that free slaves.  But over time, commercialization led to shelf-stabilization,  turning the "bread of affliction" into a cracker, and an expensive one at that.  

Enter Mitzvah Matzos; thicker texture, thicker ritual.  We're making authentic soft matzos.  It's not your bubbie's matzo, but it is your bubbie's bubbie's matzo.  All profits go to fight human trafficking, immediately transforming matzo into the important conversation piece it's meant to be, and making everyday heroes out of seder participants. 

Rabbi Barry Dolinger and Naomi Baine are a husband-wife team working to make this dream real.  Naomi's great-great-great-grandfather founded the U.S.'s first matzo factory in 1884; she's excited to get back in the business.  Barry's excited to help cultivate the power of ritual.
