I (jessica)was diagnosed 3 years ago with polycystic kidney disease , due to the kidney disease I have developed a brain aneurysm. I need to have stints put in to stop the aneurysm from getting any bigger . Problem is we live in the upper peninsula of michigan and my brain specialist is at the university of michigan which is almost 400 miles away, which is about a 6 to 7 hour drive , unless we have snow (which we do for about 6 months out of the year)..then the drive could be longer . I also have to travel over an hr away just to go see my kidney specialist . We have 3 awesome kids , our oldest son Jacob  graduated a year ahead of his class , but due to the covid 19 he wont be getting his ceremony in may as planned . They're all great kids ! My husband Mike put himself through the police academy with the use of his GI bill from the 4 years of active duty service in the Marine Corps and honorably discharged , and a few thousand dollars out of pocket for expenses not covered. Mike traveled  120 miles around trip to get to school between 5 and 7 days a week. Mike was promised full time 40 hours a week plus benefits plus a take home vehicle  if he successfully graduated the academy.  Before he graduated another deputy was hired and was giving the spot promised . Mike has worked for our sheriff's department for a year and a half and is now running for sheriff in the small town we live in.  To give you an idea of Mike's character,  he would often give backup to other officers even after his shift had ended and on his own time, as there is usually only 1 officer per shift. Mike went from working 2 to 3 days a week as road patrol,  plus running the jail as a turn key and filling in other officers shifts when they weren't able ,but because it's a small town , once the current sheriff caught wind that Mike , my husband  ( who is a deputy sheriff) was running for sheriff,  his hours went from 30 to 50 hours a week to 2 days a week. He was taken off turn key and no longer filling other officers shifts when they are unable.  We will be using any money donated towards campaign expenses for Mike,  and our household expenses since Mike isn't getting much for hours now.I ( jessica) have been out of work since March 13th due to the restraunt I work at getting shut down due to covid 19. As of right now we dont have a re opening date. I was suppose to start cna classes on april 13th but that wont happen for a few more months I'm sure because our state has not opened back up yet. We will be using the money donated for the expenses of my dr appointments,  hotel stay during the surgery, which has to be re scheduled because even tho its brain surgery, our governer in our state classifys it as an elective surgery. I have many dr appointments ahead of me , and I have to take time off work every time I go. Thank you all for any help you can give is very much appreciated.  God bless.
