We are raising money for our sweet pitbull Mia; who had to have emergency life-saving surgery. This may leave her paralyzed for the rest of her life. Please help us cover Mia's medical expenses, and thank you for caring.
If you're ever driving down the road, you turn and you see a big gray Pitbull head hanging out the window; there's a pretty good chance that is Mia. This pup loves nothing more than walks & adventures with her family, a good nap on a summer's day, and a good snack when the bacon hits the floor.
On the 4th of July Mia was rushed to the emergency vet, we woke up at 5:00 a.m. to our pup completely paralyzed from the hips down. That would be the start to a terrifying day.
After hours of struggling to get a diagnosis and get to the proper professionals, we were told that Mia needed immediate surgery to relieve pressure on her spine. The surgery would also remove pieces of hip that had jutted into her spinal cord due to a herniated disc.
After 3 hours, we are told that the surgery had been successful and that our girl was at the start of her long road to recovery.
Unfortunately, this is where our struggle intensifies. We now have medical bills to pay, specialty equipment to assist our currently paralyzed pup, and a long road that may or may not lead to recovery. We will be doing everything we can for our girl, and are asking that anyone that is able to help, assist us financially to reduce our stress during this time.
We understand that a lot of people are struggling financially, so we only ask that if you cannot give, please share or send this to someone that might be able to help.
The surgery and intensive care racked up a bill of about $12,000; specialized medical equipment and physical therapy will make up the remainder of our requested amount.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please know that Mia appreciates each and every one of you and sends everybody puppy kisses.
