Metro Mets is raising money to open a batting practice facility in Detroit that will allow disadvantaged youth to utilize the facility as well as improve an area where such facilities are not available.
The Metro Mets (Mets) is a little league baseball team based in Metro Detroit, MI and consists of two teams with players ages 14 years and younger. The Mets’ mission is to work hard, play hard; but most importantly, give back. Mets coaches and parents have each individually contributed to the successful structuring of this team by committing their time and providing financial backing.
While the Mets are fortunate to have their support, it would be extremely beneficial to the team to have the support of outside entities such as businesses, organizations, and individual commitments.
Teaching this team leadership and the skills necessary to excel in the sport of baseball will not be an easy feat. This will require a collective effort, and a solid foundation as we believe learning the fundamentals of baseball takes place on and off the field. As we have planned in the prior year, this year our team will participate in various charitable/non-profit events in order to illustrate the importance of lending your time and giving back to your community.
It is our hope that you/your organization would be a participant in the success of this team and consider making a donation. We are striving to accomplish our goal of opening a facility in Detroit that will offer inner city youth an opportunity to utilize equipment, take advantage of team recruiting, and hands on training with reputable experts in the field - all in an area that would not offer this opportunity otherwise.
