Welcome to Mental Illness Interrupted's very first fundraiser! We are very eager to get up off the ground running, but in order to do so, we need some very important help! We need you and your support!
Just like getting anything up off the ground, we need some support! We know that you cannot always give financially, but if you can, a financial gift would go a very long way!
Unfortunately, there are many upfront costs when it comes to starting a non-profit. State and Legal filings for tax exemption and charity status are a big obstacle, not to mention the cost of our monthly programming and the educational services we aim to provide. We already have big plans for August and September, but in order for us to fully support our community in the way that we are dreaming, we need your help.
100% of these proceeds will go to programs in the West Georgia area to our targeted at-risk communities and our ability to provide the public with resources via our website and forums. Our Board of Directors and Executive Staff do not collect a salary or benefits, so you can be assured that ALL the money kindly donated goes right back into your community.
We strive to provide the West Georgia area with educational resources, support through advocacy, and educational programs to bridge a gap between at-risk individuals and resources, along with supporting mental well-being to those who struggle with mental illness, their support systems, and their allies.
If you have any questions as to the allocation of funding, or any other general questions, do not hesitate to contact the Director of MII, Sally Hobson, via her email, email@example.com.
