I'm raising money for my volunteer medical trip to Costa Rica in April! VIDA is a non-profit organization that recruits students to volunteer in Central America in underserved communities.
I would like to ask you for your support my upcoming VIDA medical volunteer trip to Costa Rica. But first, let me get into what VIDA is all about!! VIDA is a non profit organization that is dedicated for student volunteers to travel to Central America and provide free basic health care to underserved communities. As student volunteers, we work alongside local doctors and pharmacists in a mobile clinic. Last year, I had the wonderful opportunity to travel to Guatemala, it was such an amazing experience to be helping patients and I will be doing it again in Costa Rica. Not only did I learn so much about the body, diseases and infection, measuring vital signs etc. but it was an eye-opening experience in so many different ways. We assisted over 360 patients in just 50 hours of clinic time in 3 different small communities. We took it even further and promoted health care and nutrition tips with every patient to make a long-lasting impact on the communities. All under professional supervision.
The trip costs $3000 but it's worth every penny. As a full-time student with extracurriculars and athletics, it's difficult to work enough hours to save that amount. I appreciate any support you are willing to give :)
