Update #3

Dear Friends and Family,

She writes: " I was able to order everything! I researched websites in France, Belgium, Germany and Austria - most of the supplies were sold out or had very limited stock. However, I managed to find two shops that had hemostatic tourniquets and Celox granules left, just enough stock that the raised amount could cover. I received Euro 3,698.85 after the currency conversion and bank fees were taken out. I was able to purchase 45 packages of Celox granules for Euro 1,025.55 and 67 Cat. 7 hemostatic tourniquets for Euro 673.30. "

Celox granules are a kind of powder that can be added to bandages or put directly onto large bleeds to help with clotting. The supplies purchased are vitally important to helpful with Trauma wounds caused by gun shots, bombs or other explosions. I tried to attach the invoices that she sent to this message, but the system made a fuss. If anyone would like to see them, please send me a message at [email protected] and I will share them with you. Viktoria told me that the supplies (one package from Belgium and one from France) should arrive in Paris today or tomorrow and she will update us when they are on their way to Ukraine.

She wants all of us to know: "Please thank all of the wonderful donors and thank you for your initiative."

Again, our family thanks all of you for your willingness to help these brave people.

More Info

Our family is collecting money to purchase medical supplies for the people fighting to defend Ukraine. The emphasis will be on hemostatic supplies which aid in stopping bleeds.  These products are expensive.  We will be transferring the funds raised directly to those who will be purchasing the supplies in Paris. From there they will be driven by volunteers to the border of Ukraine, where they will be handed off to those in need.

We will give updates  from our friends in Paris organizing this project.  This fundraiser will run until March 9.  The supplies will be purchased as soon as it closes and hopefully leave Paris on March 10 or 11.

Your support will be going directly into the hands of those providing help for the people affected by this tragedy. Thank for being one of those many pulling together from across the globe to help our Ukrainian friends.

Update #2

Dear Friends,

Our whole family thanks each and every one for your kind and generous donations! I have been in touch with Viktoria, the lady to whom all of your donations are going.
She was surprised and overcome with the amount of donations we have collected for her country and all that live there.

Due to the larger amount, it took a little longer to transfer the money to her. In addition, she and her husband have decided to purchase the medical supplies from an online vendor instead of the local suppliers. This allows them to receive more of the urgently necessary items. Buses are now leaving daily from Paris to the Poland-Ukraine border where they pick up refugees and drop supplies. Viktoria will continue to update us on our supplies as they make their way over there.

From Viktoria: "This is just so incredible, thank you so, so much, I am overwhelmed by such a strong support. I will, of course, update with receipts and photos of what was purchased."

With much love and gratitude,
Hebbah

Update #1

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for supporting our fundraising for the Ukrainian people. Their situation is deteriorating and many, many are desperate for help!

The plan right now is to transfer the funds to our Ukrainian couple living in Paris as soon as the fundraiser ends. They will purchase the medical supplies, hopefully, by March 10 and send them with a group of Ukrainian volunteers leaving from Paris to the border of Poland and Ukraine on March 11.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting them. I will send updates as I receive them from Viktoria. Here is an excerpt from one of her messages to me: " I am astonished by the support we're receiving from every corner of the world, it means a lot to every Ukrainian person or those who live in our beautiful country."
