Beethoven Street Elementary School, a grade school just a few blocks from Marina del Rey Toyota, is struggling this school year, and we're determined to turn things around.
Now through October 31, 2013, Marina del Rey Toyota is launching its first annual “Car Wash For Crayons” Cash & Supply Drive to benefit Beethoven Street Elementary School. Right now, anyone who donates needed items and/or cash in person or online at Fundly.com will receive a gift card for a free car wash at Marina del Rey Toyota regardless of what kind of car they drive.
“Car Wash For Crayons” will culminate in a pre-Halloween bash at Marina Del Rey Toyota on October 29th at 10:30 am.
Marina del Rey Toyota has partnered with Beethoven Street Elementary School's PTA fundraising organization, “Friends of Beethoven,” to collect needed items, and to gather donations for costs associated with the school, teacher's assistants, and before and after school programs.
With all of the budget cuts, and parents struggling to make ends meet, many of the teachers at this local K-5 school have been purchasing things like composition notebooks, crayons, pencil and more out of their own paychecks rather than allowing many children to go without. Kevin Ray, General Manager of Marina del Rey Toyota, is determined that this year will be different.
Marina del Rey is considered by most to be an upscale community, and most non-parents in the area have no idea the degree to which the Los Angeles Unified Schools in the area are struggling. Beethoven Street Elementary School recently conducted a toilet paper drive to help with the costs of toilet paper for the school year.
We are accepting cash donations here. This is how it works. Once your donation is made online, you'll get a thank you email (as long as you provide an email address). All you need to do is bring it into the dealership and show it to one of Marina del Rey Toyota's team members to get their free car wash gift card. It's our way of saying thank you for helping us to make a difference for Beethoven Street Elementary School.
