I discovered a while ago that the purpose of life is to feel alive. Dancing I experience incredible sensations. I can easily lose myself with magical vibrations and give time and space another meaning. So I know I'm alive ... even more than that.
Support me to be part of Miami City Ballet's Summer Intensive
At the beginning of this year I was, after an audition, as one of the few selected, to be part of the Summer Intensive of Miami City Ballet, one of the most important dance companies in the United States.
It is a beautiful and great opportunity to continue learning and growing in what I love the most and to be able to look beyond. I can open many doors ... but my family does not have the necessary means to cover all the expenses of this trip and in my country there is not much support for this type of art.
I'll tell you a little about my story:
One day when I was 2 years old, my mom took me to the theater to see the Nutcracker. I was so fascinated that I told her that she also wanted to dance. This is how I started taking Ballet classes. All my childhood I was immersed in music, classes, sneakers and rehearsals. I was trained and learned with very good teachers in the studies I went through.
In 2018 something changed, I realized that I didn't just want to dance; I really wanted to become a dancer, a professional. The rhythm of my life changed, every time I have more classes and many new things to learn. I took a year to go back to studying the foundations of the steps and give me time.
During a trip to Buenos Aires, I took some classes, met amazing teachers and dancers, saw a simply magnificent show. All this reaffirmed my desire and my desire to live in that magical world.
My engine revved. I prepared for a competition, in March 2020 and I won !! During the quarantine I did not want to stop, I found a way to continue enjoying, learning and improving despite dancing in a 3x4m space.
The internet allowed me to continue studying with great teachers and dancers, from here and from other countries. Passion, love and corrections crossed borders.
I will be fully grateful if you help me fulfill this dream.
