My Mom is currently sleeping on a 15+ year old beat up mattress, but we're low income & can't afford a new one, which is really hard on her since she has spondylosis, scoliosis, and other back issues and pain.
Hi, thank you for considering to help me replace my mother's beat up 15 year old mattress.
My family is very low income and we have been wanting to replace this mattress for years but have never been able to afford a proper replacement. With my mom's health issues in her back, such as spondylosis, scoliosis, and repeated injuries to her back and neck, plus allodynia and fibromyalgia (pain based disorders), the mattresses we can afford are just as painful for her as the one she sleeps in now. I should add that this current mattress was used and old before it was given to us about 15 years ago. I don't actually know how old the mattress is beyond that.
There is so much that is damaged or broken in our house, both from Hurricane Irma and from the age of our home, that it has been very overwhelming and depressing for her to try repair things on a virtually non-existent budget while dealing with numerous health issues, being a single mother, trying to help me deal with my health issues, and more. I know I can't fix everything but if she can feel at least some relief I know it will help her, both emotionally and physically.
With Christmas coming up, I would greatly appreciate the chance to ease some of her pain with a new mattress. Since she has so many physical hardships and so much pain I want to try for a Full Size Purple Mattress since it is so highly recommended for comfort and pain relief. Because of her health issues many mattresses, like pillow-tops, are impossible to use because they just give her more pain. I'm hoping that this Purple mattress will be able to help.
If you are able to help me, we would greatly appreciate the support and kindness. It feels awkward to ask for help but at this point I don't think we don't have any other option. At the very least, thank you for reading this message.
