For my birthday I'm raising money for 2 charities; a street dog rescue (Soi Dog Foundation) and a place called the Mercy Center that works in AIDS outreach, single moms/battered women, education and poverty issues.

If you're here, I'm assuming you know me. If not, I'll briefly sum up - I'm an expat teacher in Thailand, who wants to do something productive before I move home. I've been here about 5 years, on and off. I've worked in some schools where most of the students are kind of wealthy, and the wealth gap in Thailand is ridiculous. There are no perks with this Fundly campaign, its just raising money for charity.
I'm coming home in June. I started thinking about packing, and decided to just donate a bunch of old clothes here to something like the Mercy Center, instead of bringing them with me. That's what started this idea... I figured I could go a little further and do something productive before I leave Thailand, so decided to try this crowdfunding idea.
Also, I have a month off before I leave so I'll probably go volunteer at one or the other of these places. (Probably the Soi Dog shelter to be honest, cuz duhhh dogs.) But, if you specifically want your money to go to one or the other, please let me know.
Not expecting a ton to be honest, but if every one of my FB friends actually donated, even just 5 or 10 dollars, it would go really, really far on this side of the world. If you can't donate, maybe you could share this?
