Join our Covid Surge relief effort! All around the world, people’s lives have been drastically changed by the pandemic. Inspired to make a global difference, Chicago Fair Trade, The Soondra Foundation and Work + Shelter joined forces to create the Masks Without Borders campaign. We hope to unite hard hit communities in our hometown of Chicago with communities in India through mask donations, specifically 8,000 sustainable cloth masks to those in need. We need your help- donate now to prevent the spread of COVID-19!
Meet the partners:
The Soondra Foundation provides healthcare access through micro-grants to the working poor in India when they have a medical emergency.
Chicago Fair Trade (CFT) cultivates a community dedicated to an economy that values the labor and dignity of all people. CFT is the largest grassroots fair trade coalition in the US and is a national leader in this growing movement.
WORK + SHELTER is a non-profit based in Chicago that provides Indian women fair wages and consistent income, creating safety and stability.
In addition to making a huge impact by donating to these incredible non-profits, we wanted to reward our donors with an eclectic mix of gifts. In our care packages, our donors can expect to receive anything from chai packets to zoom yoga classes to virtual Indian cooking classes. We believe giving back during this pandemic is especially important.

A delivery has made it to another one of our Chicago partners, The Center on Halsted! The Center on Halsted is a community center that secures the health and wellbeing of the LGBTQ population of Chicago. Your donations provide masks to underrepresented groups who are adversely affected by the pandemic!

Our masks have finally reached a small school in India, where you can see their Grade 5 students rocking them above! Your donations help young students in India continue their education safely.

Our masks have finally arrived in Chicago from India! We just dropped off some of those very masks at The Night Ministry, a local Chicago-based organization that helps the homeless. We also stopped by Chicago Fair Trade’s pop up shop, where our masks are also being sold. Your donations help us provide masks to those in need during this holiday season!

Our masks are made by women who need work, especially now during the pandemic when other jobs are not available. Through your donations WORK+SHELTER is able to pay trainees to learn to sew as they make masks. They are paid a fair wage while learning a skill to support their families!

When Salman's teacher called to find out why he wasn't at school, his mom said Salman has blood cancer and they were struggling to pay for his treatment. The Soondra Foundation was the first to step up and pay for his chemo. Unfortunately Salman got COVID-19 as well. However, he has now completed his hospital-based chemo sessions and is back in his virtual classroom. Your donation will help kids like Salman get a mask and treatment for illnesses during this pandemic. Donate generously!
