Marshall is a goofy boxer puppy who was born with a narrowed heart valve. He will need an expensive heart surgery to open his valve, so it can function properly. BRAF is raising funds to help his family with the costs.
Marshall was adopted through Boxer Rescue Angels of Florida. He has a congenital narrowed heart valve (pulmonic stenosis) which gives him symptoms of fatigue, shortness of breath and fainting spells as his heart has to work harder than normal. If that wasn't enough, the poor guy also has pancreatitis and has to be managed by a prescription diet dog food.
Marshall needs a heart valve surgery called balloon valvuloplasty. It is a procedure done in the cath lab by a cardiologist. "The specialized balloon catheter will then be placed across the stenotic pulmonic valve and the balloon will be inflated to tear apart the valve leaflets, creating a larger opening and allowing blood to flow more easily from the heart to the lungs." This procedure can cost over $5000 but Marshall is definitely worth it.
Please help Marshall's new family with his continued cardiac care and surgery costs. Thank you!
