Mark Goes Black and Brave

Thank you so much for your generosity in supporting Mark and his efforts to become a professional wrestler. In just 20 days or so we have more than doubled our initial goal of $500 and currently sit art $1070. There is still time to donate (campaign closes in 121 days), but I thought that it made sense to begin the process of forwarding the funds to Mark so that he does not have to worry about finances. After fees there is a little more than $900 available to send, and Mark asked if we could structure the allocation as a sort of monthly allowance. As such, we decided that forwarding him $300 or so dollars per month would probably work best. I am pleased to announce that we were able to forward over that first installment today!!! Thank you all so much for your support and I will continue to provide updates along the way.

As you all know, Mark has been a fixture at Crossfit Jeffries Point for the better part of three years. In those three years, I have had the privilege of watching Mark evolve into not just an incredible athlete but into an incredible young man who exudes the qualities that I think we all aspire to.

Now Mark is readying himself to embark on a bold next step in his fitness and life journey. Mark has been accepted into the Black and Brave Wrestling Academy in Davenport, Iowa and on September 4th will begin an intensive 12 week training program that could lead to a possible career as a professional wrestler. Mark has been diligently working, training and saving for the past year so that he is well equipped (both financially and physically) to make this dream come to fruition, but as many of you know there are always unexpected costs when you uproot your life to pursue your passion. I was hoping that we might be able to come together, as a token of our appreciation for Mark's immense contribution to the gym, and offset some of those costs such that Mark can direct all of his focus on his training.

Mark is, and always will be an integral part of the CJP family, so let's ensure that we are doing everything that we can to him make this dream a reality.
