I believe we have a wonderful opportunity to provide hundreds of youth a positive summer experience. Our neighbors at the Boys & Girls Club of Lake County need help to keep Club doors open this summer.
At last, the days are getting warmer and we are ready to welcome summer.
As a mom, I have been busy identifying ways to keep my children active, healthy and safe once school is out. Just as important, I want them well-prepared for “reading, writing and arithmetic” when the new-school year begins in late August. Their days will be busy ones with camp, library visits, tennis lessons and creative art projects!
While I am fortunate to have so many options for my children, I know there are many underserved youth in nearby communities who do not. As a volunteer with the Boys & Girls Club of Lake County, I have seen the impact the Club has made on more than 1,000 youth this past school year. The Club serves the whole child by supporting academic, social, emotional and physical needs while helping them build a brighter future. I think it would be amazing if youth had the same chance during the summer as they had during the school year!
I believe we have a wonderful opportunity to provide hundreds of youth a positive summer experience, and I am asking for your help to keep Club doors open this summer for our neighbors.
Reflect a moment on the best summers of your youth. Were you able to play outside, read a good book, learn new songs, explore a career, play with friends and learn something new? Won’t you join me by making a gift today? No matter the amount of your gift, you will help Club youth build fond summer memories and have experiences that will last a lifetime. Please share this message with your friends and colleagues. Together, we can make a wonderful summer become a reality!
