Update #3 SHE WILL NOT FAIL!

A lot can happen in twelve days!
Haylee, our Wonder Woman has had a setback in her quest to have a bone marrow transplant and can really use the prayers and encouragement of all her fans!

Yesterday, only two days after her last routine check up, Haylee and her family learned that she is out of remission and her Leukemia has made another attempt to defeat her. This news was not what we all wanted to hear, but she remains strong! "SHE WILL NOT FAIL" has been her battle cry! Let's shout it with her!

Haylee was admitted into the hospital. Today, she starts round three of Chemo. Let's agree with one another in prayer that this is her LAST round. That all Leukemia will be gone, and that Haylee will be healthy and ready for that marrow transplant! Gavin's process to get ready for the transplant has also been put on hold.

Haylee is expected to be in the hospital at least seven days while she undergoes her chemotherapy. Please consider giving to help cover these travel costs and Haylee's insurance. Every single penny is greatly appreciated and has helped so much! Also, please share Haylee's story on your feed for others to know her and support her.

Blessings!

Update #2

WE HAVE GOOD NEWS TO SHARE!

Thanks to many of you, the first month's insurance premium has now been covered! THANK YOU to all who have contributed! This helps keep Haylee on her parents' insurance while she undergoes treatment.

Haylee just completed her second round of chemo. It was a much tougher round than the first time for her, but she finished it with a smile (see pic above)!

On February 12th, Haylee will check into the hospital in preparation for her marrow transplant. She will undergo more chemo for about a week and then the transplant will take place. Her brother, Gavin, will also have to begin preparation for his part in the transplant. He will soon begin medication to increase his marrow production. This can be a very painful process that can cause bone pain, and headaches. Please continue to pray for him and Haylee as their bodies prepare for this miraculous moment.

Haylee and her family were accepted into a FREE housing program, which lifts a HUGE burden off of them! They now have a place to stay, free of charge for the entirety of their time in Denver (three months). We are saying a HUGE THANK YOU to God for His provision! With this new development, the money that was needed to be raised has now lessened.

Please continue lifting this family up in your prayers, and consider how you might be able to give. Every little bit helps and no gift is too small! Also, please share their story with your family and friends too! Together we can make a difference!
Blessings to you!

Update #1

One year ago today, I stood, along with extended family and friends in a large, cold waiting room for over twelve hours as my beloved sister Nicole underwent invasive surgery to remover her aggressive cancer. It is a day I have titled, "the longest day of my life." She, by the grace of God has remained cancer free for this entire year!

Today, she and her husband Dorell are driving their daughter Haylee to Denver and holding her hand as she takes another dose in her second round of Chemo to prepare for her upcoming bone marrow transplant and recovery. Haylee was diagnosed in December with AML leukemia. One of her brothers is a 100% match and has been cleared to donate marrow. All of this has been positive news in this unforeseen battle.

God has been good at every turn, answering prayer after prayer for Haylee, but there are still some immediate needs weighing on this strong family.

The first is insurance. Haylee is blessed to be on Nikki's insurance and there is good coverage, but with so many missed days of work, Nikki and Dorell are going to have to start pay out of pocket what usually is covered by her employer to keep her insurance going.

Travel costs are mounting as they are making daily trips from Colorado Springs to Denver for Haylee's chemo. On a good week, they still have to travel 3-4 times.

Lastly, is the upcoming expense of relocating Nicole, Dorell, and Haylee to Denver while she undergoes the marrow transplant and heals. This will be a three month process where they stay in Denver, close to the hospital. They're still searching, but resources and places are limited. As it is appearing now, they will have to pay for some of the lodging there.

These are three ways that your donations will immediately help this family. I know that together we can make a huge difference in helping them fight. All along, Haylee's battle cry has been, "Her fight is our fight-She will not fail, for God is in her!" I believe this to be true.

So many of you have prayed, messaged, sent gift cards, and encouraged. All of this is necessary. If you can give even the smallest amount, it will make a big difference! Please share Haylee's story with family and friends, and continue to pray. We are on the verge of another miracle and another battle won!

Thank you, and blessings!
