Hi all! Thank you so much again for your support for Zaire and Spikey.
In the past month, I've had several different donors make 'fraudulent dispute' claims because they didn't recognize the charges on their bank statement. For this reason, I'm asking donors to please check whether or not they signed up to be a monthly donor and, if so, to please make a note of what the amount is and what date the charge will go through each month so that this doesn't keep happening.
The point of this fundraiser is to support Zaire with a reliable, stable monthly source of income. The fraud disputes are really messing that up! Thank you!

Zaire is a Black trans disabled chronically ill being whose daily life consists of intense and frequent medical procedures, emergency room visits, chronic illness, chronic pain, and the everyday navigation of violence as a Black trans person in an anti-Black transphobic world.
Zaire is unable to work due to their illness and disabilities yet the SSDI funds they receive do not even cover half of their monthly expenses, let alone their ever-increasing medical bill debt. They also care for their sister (who is navigating her own medical emergency/crisis) and their dog son Spikey (who also has quite a few medical bills that need to be paid).
Despite having zero resources and extremely limited energy, Zaire frequently gives whatever they have to help out family, friends, and others in crisis without a moment's hesitation.
Any amount- even just $5 a month- makes a big difference. Please commit to an amount that you can confidently sustain for as long as possible/needed.

"i have at least two medical appointments per week into march, i have to get multiple pain procedures (one per month into april), get additional workups from my cardiologist and neurologist, and continue on my immunosuppressants. im paying for therapy and alternative care out of pocket, co-pays+uncovered meds and spikeys meds all out of pocket, in addition to rent+bills. my monthly cost of living is over $1300 (and that’s if i dont have any surprises) and my monthly income from SSDI is only $674. the fact that i’ve made it this far is a goddamn miracle and im hoping to make it to the other side of this steep ass mountain where hopefully things are calmer. i cannot afford to do that on my own."
