We are raising money to erect a memorial pergola in the community gardens of the Elmora Branch of the Elizabeth Public Library in loving memory of our late friend and colleague Louise Fliger, may she rest in peace.
To the friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues of our dear friend, Louise E. Fliger, may she rest in peace:
When Alison Tozer started the Information Services team at Celgene, the department consisted of just a handful of people. Evolving to become Knowledge Management and then KSIC (Knowledge Services & Information Center), the team provided library and information services to a growing global company. Louise Fliger joined Celgene as a contractor in 2008 and a full-time staff member in 2009, remaining at Celgene for 10 years until her early retirement.
Louise was the first point of contact to many library users and she greeted every person with her trademark smile. Louise's goal was foremost to provide excellent customer service and high quality information to every client. Her irrepressible personality was a ray of sunshine to all who worked with her. Louise served as the backbone of the team through numerous staff and management turnovers.
In tribute to the special person that Louise was, we would like to create a permanent structure in the community garden of Elizabeth Public Library's Elmora Branch. The garden's focus is to use a public community space to improve local health and develop career opportunities. This seems so fitting a commemoration for Louise as it is in kind with her helpfulness and ability to spread kindness to everyone around her.
We have created this Fundly campaign to make donating to the Louise E. Fliger Memorial as easy as possible using your credit card. However, for larger donations for which you would like to claim a tax deduction, it is preferable to send a check made out to Elizabeth Public Library and in notes write"Louise Fliger memorial". Mail the check to: Cheryl Erenberg, 267 Brook Ave, Passaic, NJ 07055-3311
Thanks to everyone who has already contributed and to those of you who would still like to do so. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
