My husband and I have always been hard-working. When we were living in a duplex, we were both working full-time jobs, but we built an aquaponics system in the one-car garage and sold fresh lettuce at the market on the weekends. When we moved to our 3 acre home, we turned an old carport into a greenhouse. It was growing so well and we were really proud of it! We even taught classes to share our knowledge with others. Then. Our neighbor to the north kept filling in the creek, and it caused our greenhouse to flood many times. At the same time, we built a grow in our shop. Then the city changed the regulations, and we were no longer able to grow. After the city sewer backed up into our home when I was 9 months pregnant, we had to rip out all of the floorings and try to clean up before our lo was born. After this and many other setbacks, and having no help nearby, we moved in with my parents. Unfortunately, they live in a very rural area, literally, all of the neighbors are Amish, and we can't get decent jobs or even fast enough internet to work remotely. We do what we can to get by, but we are so much more than this! We have job offers and a business opportunity waiting about 4 hours away, and we are working on starting a nonprofit to set up aquaponics systems to provide local communities with fresh, affordable produce,we just need help moving there and securing an apartment.
Once we get the apartment, we will be able to start our jobs and will be able to pay our own rent from there. With this help, we promise to never be in this situation again, and we will alwayspay it forward
! Thank you!
