Lily Cat Fights Back - Recovery Fund

Lily Cat Fights Back - Recovery Fund

From Lindsay Bee

Our dear kitten/friend/familiar was attacked by wild animals and survived (!) minus a tail. This fundraiser helps with the costs of her surgery and 6-day hospitalization. We welcome donations AND we're offering perks.

Update #2

Thank you to our new contributors this week! We are 1/3 of the way to our goal!

Lily is loving all of the notes of encouragement and wanted you to know that she's feeling better and ready to be done with the home care routine (salves, cone, her scratch-proof teeshirt, etc). We think she needs a little more time but are astonished at how quickly her wounds are healing up.

Thank you all again for your support. We appreciate you so much ❤️

More Info

On June 24th, Lily Cat went missing. We had just played our first concert since the beginning of the pandemic and arrived home to the realization that she hadn't eaten her dinner or treats. We put on our boots and headlamps and bushwhacked around the house and neighborhood, calling for her and rattling treats. She did not appear.

Distraught but not not fully certain about her whereabouts or condition (she's known to go on full moon hunting forays), we went to sleep. At 6am she was still not home so, again, we went out calling for her.

This time she crawled out of the bushes, bloody and full of burrs, asking for help.

We rushed her to the family vet who took her in immediately but after a few hours it became clear that she needed more intensive care. On June 25 we transferred her down to Atlantic St Vet Hospital in Roseville where she stayed until she was stable enough to be operated on....
