Storytelling workshops for incarcerated people in Oregon. Storytelling events to connect people on both sides of the prison walls in conversations about our values, our shared humanity, and our criminal justice system.
Good storytelling helps us to see each other in new ways and top discover our shared humanity. This all volunteer project is conducting storytelling workshops and events with incarcerated people in Oregon. The workshops provide important personal development and skill building opportunities for people serving time in prison. The storytelling events and follow-up activities engage people on both sides of the prison walls in an exploration of important themes -- from hope and redemption to personal responsibility, the value of life, and how our criminal justice system reflects our values.
