My name is Sara, and it wasn't so long ago that I had an active, full life, one that included a happy family, a smexy husband, and good health. In other words: I had plans. Then something went haywire, and in a relatively short period of time, I got sick and that smexy husband of mine took off, divorcing me and leaving me on my own to battle multiple sclerosis, agoraphobia, and a bunch of other chronic illnesses. I was a stay-at-home wife and mom for most of our 24 year marriage, so he was my only source of income and health insurance. My husband left me flat broke and unable to pay my bills or afford necessities like medication, doctor's visits, and therapy. I've applied for disability, but it's a long, slow process of appeals & denials and when you're sick and have an 18 year old dog and 3, seven-year-old cats (one of whom has special needs) depending on you to keep the lights on and make sure they have a roof over their heads, it's absolutely terrifying.
I'm doing this fundraiser to raise the $14,550 I need to climb out of the financial hole my ex husband threw me into, get caught up on my bills, and get the treatment I need so I can have an actual life again. And I do have some ideas in place to actually support myself as soon as I get a little breathing room. I'd just begun a writing career when I got sick, and I'm confident with the right treatment, a good doctor, and some hard work & determination I can get well and start writing again. I'm also working on starting an eBay store to sell some of the vintage pieces I've accumulated over the years, and I'm teaching myself to draw (the doodles you see in the video are mine). As an incintive/way of saying thank you to everyone who donates to my campaign, please send me a message with your contact info and I'll draw you the doodle of your choice.
Thanks for taking the time to look over my campaign and please know that any help you can give will be welcomed, appreciated, and paid forward.
