Sandy is a mother of 3 children who lost her husband suddenly to COVID on September 13, 2021. The loss has been tragic for the family and Sandy is left trying to support her children on her limited income as a cleaner, which barely covers her rent payments. She is able to receive some assistance with food stamps, however she is struggling with other living expenses as well. This recent widow and her family already live in a low-cost rental townhome in a Hispanic community with friends who provide her much support emotionally. The church was able to assist with funeral costs, but she still has an outstanding debt for that as well.
She has no family in the area. She moved to Raleigh with her husband of 10 years from Mexico, to build a better life for her 3 beautiful children: Victor, age 6, Gloria, age 9, and Marcos, age 12. They are a very close-knit and faith-based family, who spend all of their time together.
Please help us to support this beautiful family in their struggle to pay off remaining funeral costs and to make ends meet as they grieve the loss of a loving father and husband.
