Currently in our 10th year, Stanford Dance Marathon is one of Stanford University's largest fundraising organizations, run entirely by current students. Together, we raise money and awareness to support the fight against HIV/AIDS both locally and abroad. Our year of work culminates in a 24-hour danceathon, during which our dancers pledge to remain standing in solidarity with those who have been affected, both directly and indirectly, by HIV.
Last year, we raised $63,000 to support our two beneficiaries: Partners In Health and Bay Area Young Positives. Partners In Health is working across boarders, headquartered in Boston and working to bring quality health care the people of Rwanda, Haiti, and Malawi, among others. Our money specifically supports their work combating HIV/AIDS in Rwanda.
Additionally, part of our fundraising yearly goes toward supporting the efforts of Bay Area Young Positives, a local organization providing support services for the local community affected by HIV.
Please note: donations submitted through this online fundraising platform will show up on your account statement with a reference to "FACE AIDS" and/or "WePay." FACE AIDS is a partner in our efforts, and is a national, Stanford-founded organization raising money for Partners In Health throughout the year. WePay is the secure eCommerce vendor which will be processing your payment!
