Ani has a bad ACL tear and needs surgery. She's a very happy energetic dog who loves to run and play, but hasn't been able to do so and has been depressed. Please help me help her so she can have a good quality of life.

For those of you who don't know, Fundly is partnered with Stripe. A few days ago some bots tried to make fraudulent transactions onto my stripe account which flagged said account.
Stripe froze everything, which is why some of you weren't able to make donations on Fundly.
After deliberating for a day, they decided to close my Stripe account and return the $500 to everyone who's donated, which is devastating.
I appealed twice and basically got a non-answer for all my troubles.
If you donated and have not gotten a refund by July 6th (at the absolute latest), please let me know and I'll raise absolute hell.
If you would still like to donate (or re-donate), please consider sending money to us through my PayPal [[email protected]]; I set this account up because I wanted everyone to have full disclosure in one convenient place, unfortunately this experience was far less convenient than I was hoping and for that I deeply apologize. I cannot in good conscience recommend this platform while it's still associated with Stripe.
I'll continue to post progress pictures and notes on Instagram and Facebook (and some will get an earful in person, lol).
Thank you for your support and hopefully there's better news on the horizon.
Ani has a pretty bad ACL tear and needs surgery. The vet wants to realign the bone and do a graft because this will have the most successful recovery given her comorbidities (bilateral arthritis in her hips and right hip dysplasia); she's scheduled to go in June 1st.
The procedure itself is $4,000 (I think this includes everything they need for the surgery and her overnight stay at the hospital).
We rounded up to $5,000 as a way to also account for:
This comes at a terrible time because Sean and I just did $35,000 in critical repairs on our house and are currently financed out the ears. Unfortunately this expense is not something we budgeted for.
This funny, good, energetic, smart girl came into my life after I sustained a career-ending back injury and things felt hopeless. She gave me a reason to get out of bed every morning and made me determined to get well so I could give this hairy bundle of energy the best life she could possibly have.
Since the injury, she's been visibly depressed. She wants to run- and frequently tries- but when she starts to hurt, she just lays down in place and looks listless. I don't think she fully understands why we haven't taken her out to run as often, as she frequently brings her ball to us and will give us sad doggie eyes. Even her "puppy" (Fern, our kitten) has noticed her change in mood and will walk up to her and loudly meow at her or clean her face.
Beeps is a nervous girl, she's afraid of strangers and super suspicious of strange men in hats; but once she gets to know you, she will cry and prance as though she missed you and never knew it. She likes playing fetch and trying to make friends with the wildlife in our back yard. Her favorite treat is raw butter because she's a savage, and she acknowledges this. When she hears police or fire truck sirens, she'll do her best ambulance impression and howl along. She doesn't get along with other dogs, but LOVES cats and will alert us when she sees the little white stray wandering around our yard (she then frantically searches the house to make sure her "puppies" didn't get out). She loves to lean and cuddle and will sass if we make her move over at bedtime because she's taking up every square inch of the bed.
Please help me help this good, good girl run again and thank you to everyone who's already offered donations.
Updates will be posted as we take this journey together to help her heal.

Tomorrow's surgery day. We are deeply humbled and touched by everyone's kindness and generosity; we really can't thank you guys enough.
So long as everything goes as planned, Ani gets to come home tomorrow after the procedure.
Between donations here, people sending money via paypal, donated cash and some money I've managed to squirrel away, we were able to raise a little over $2k.
The plan is to pay for half of the procedure with the $2k raised and to use the $2k Care Credit was offering for the rest.
We're going to keep collecting donations until at least after her second post-op appointment due to her first and second post-op appointments being so close together and how expensive we're expecting these appointments to be (visits $80/per, x-rays $300/per, medications vary).
We have looked into pet charities to help as well, unfortunately her condition doesn't qualify for several of them and many of them would not have gotten back to us in such a short time; so again, we thank you so much for the help and love.
We'll continue to keep everyone informed as things happen and I'll try to get progress videos up after surgery.

So far with the help we've received online and in cash donations, we have been able to raise 12% of our goal (about $700)!
It means the world to us that so many people have reached out in so many different ways to help. I am truly at a loss for words.
I applied for Care Credit today aaaaand they're only willing to cover a little under half of the estimated costs. Sean's working a 24 tonight, so I probably won't be able to talk to him about it until tomorrow afternoon when he wakes up from his work coma. It's a little disheartening, but I already had a feeling this was how things were gonna go; which solidifies why donations are so vital.
Thank you again to everyone who's taken the time to say kind things, offer advice and/or donate. I will reach out to everyone who's donated to personally thank you; I'm sorry it's taking me a little while to reach out. Fundly doesn't always show me the names of people who give and will sometimes just post a few of you as "anonymous" on my mobile, so I have to log onto a computer to get a full picture. With Big Brother (corporate) keeping tabs on my work computer and my home office being used as temporary storage for all the stuff we had to take off the walls during construction, getting access to a computer is currently a little difficult c': but I promise to get to everybody ASAP.
I'll try to update as things happen; in the meantime, Ani and Fern are helping me around the house by folding laundry and making the bed.
.....they're not making much progress.
