Hello all! Just a little back story.  Weekly I help feed approximately 70 stray dogs here in Thailand (and very many I meet along the way). Dogs without homes are everywhere, the beaches, streets, jungles, in front of stores, fields, everywhere. I started off helping with a dog route weekly to help this amazing lady Terri who has been taking care of stray dogs here where I live for over 13 years. She has helped save hundred and hundred of dogs in need here.

Harry Potter Pack (so patient!)

The pandemic unfortunately has impacted everyone in some sort of way. For dogs here as well. As many dogs here were left on the streets from previous owners who had to go back to their home country or left without tourists to generously give them food. Despite the pandemic the stray dog situation here has been an ongoing problem.

Our street pack Waffle, Ralph, IT and Wrinkle.

Despite making sure they have food and water, its just as important to make sure they are sterilized, vaccinated and medicated when needed. Sterilization of each stray dog is extremely important. Without proper sterilization many puppies are being born without homes, increasing the stray population and many not surviving. Also life threatening sexual transmitted diseases are spread across unsterilized dogs and is highly contagious even to sterilized dogs. Vaccinating each dog is also very important for obvious reasons. Spot-on (tick and flea) medication is also very important especially as tick fever/blood parasites are life threatening diseases that are expensive to treat even if caught early but that also end the life of many dogs here in Thailand.

All of this does come at a cost, so this is why I decided to raise some donations to help out some more. Every little bit helps and goes a very long way. In Thailand vaccinations/ sterilization, food is cheaper then back in Canada. For example 500 baht per vaccination which is around 20$. But with thousands of stray dogs and multiple vaccinations it adds up.

100% of any donations I get will go towards food, sterilization, injury costs, medication, vaccinations etc. They all have so much love within them and to give. They each have their own personalities and its important to give them a happy, comfortable life they deserve despite the circumstances they have been given.

Thank you for reading :)
