Unexpected Setbacks from sudden & Complex neurological issues, and abnormal CBC

From Sofia Weinert

I’m raising money to catch up on bills after being very ill and missing work. I’ve incurred some bills from MRI testing + regular bills, and am under the care of a neurologist. Visits with my PCP are now more frequent.

So the good news is that I don’t have anything life threatening, however at times I’m completely debilitated. I have double vision (diplopia) migraines/ cluster headaches, fatigue, muscle aches, joint pain that comes and goes, night sweats, bruising. I’m now on medication to prevent my headaches, but I still get them.  I’ve had so many tests done and I still don’t have a solid diagnosis.  I’m very grateful that I have such great health care and my providers are so diligent, however I have more testing in August.  Anything that can be raised will be helpful. I’ve missed a total of nearly three weeks of work since my symptoms began. As a single mom this is taking its toll. I often struggle to plan day trips or activities for my family and on good days when I’m able to get out and enjoy the outdoors I struggle with executive functioning. One of the many tests I underwent was a neuro- psychological test that actually pointed that out. My executive functioning skills are extremely depleted. However no diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or dementia. I often struggle to complete my daily chores and choose between going outside when I’m feeling well and staying in to clean. Sometimes I have headaches so bad that I can barely make it to the bathroom never mind work.
