My husband and I met and fell in love in 2014. I have a son with a previous partner and Thomas fell in love with him and we built a family. In 2015 I married Thomas and we had our daughter in October of the same year. We were a happy family of four when I lost Thomas suddenly in January 2018. I was left a single mother to two young children, ages 6 and 2. Thomas' mother began to become abusive verbally to my son prior to Thomas' death and we had discussed having her not be around the kids. After he died, I relied on his mother to watch my children so I could work to support them. I began to see changes in my son and in April 2020 he told me that she was verbally abusive to the point where he did not want to be here on this planet anymore. I had a discussion with her and we removed her from our lives. She has had no contact with us since May 2020. She is now suing me for grandparent visitation rights for my daughter, not my son, and I am now having to obtain an attorney to fight these bogus claims. My husband loved his family so much. I am still a single mother trying to take care of my children, with no family support. Anything will help. All monies will go to attorneys to fight to keep my children safe.
