About Me

Every week, I have the pleasure of working on the construction site with my Habitat for Humanity crew to build houses for neighbors in need. Unfortunately, I'm usually the only female. I want to change that! So, when I was asked to join the steering committee to organize the 1st ever women build Habitat House project in North Central Georgia...how could I say "No"?!

This organization and this project mean more to me than I can adequately express in words, so I'll just say, "THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU" for supporting me in my mission to promote empathy + audacity by sharing perspective. Please believe me when I say that no contribution is too small and know that I appreciate it immensely.

More Info

Habitat for Humanity North Central Georgia (NCG) Women Build 2020 empowers and inspires women to build homes for low income families in their communities!

Construction for the inaugural Habitat for Humanity-NCG Women Build home will begin in early 2020 in Forsyth or Cherokee County. During this 12-week build, over 300 women will come together to build a home for a deserving family in need of affordable, safe, and stable housing. The all-female volunteer crew will frame the walls, hang drywall, install siding, paint the interior and exterior, and landscape the yard among other tasks. Fundraising is underway now, and Women Build members have committed to raise $90,000 to help cover the cost of construction materials for this project.
