KIERA WAS ACCEPTED INTO A CLINICAL TRIAL BUT IT IS IN PHILADEPHIA AND SHE LIVES IN ARIZONA, JOIN WITH ME TO HELP OFFSET THOSE COSTS. "Throw kindness around like confetti!"
Kiera is often called by her nickname Kiwi and she is a sweet, funny, and tough 8-year-old girl. Born on 12/12/12 she is fighting a very rare neuromuscular disease.
Early last year her doctors spotted a murmur in her heart. A couple of weeks later Kiwi and her family found out that she had an enlarged heart or cardiomyopathy. This was the beginning of putting together the puzzle that led to the diagnosis of Friedreich's Ataxia. Sadly, this is a degenerative disease that worsens over time.
Kiera's days are filled with all kinds of therapies...physical, speech, occupational basically anything that will help her retain and strengthen her brain-to-muscle connection.
Let's show Kiera that she is not alone, that she is surrounded by the kindness and love of people who are cheering her on in this battle.
