Helping others in need is a big thing in our house.   Our parents are always trying to figure out ways to give back. Earlier this month, they asked us to think about how we could give back. Simone and I decided that we want to help kids in need.

We came up with the idea to donate toys to kids in the hospital. Simone spent a lot of time in the Hospital when she was a little kid because she had trouble breathing and eating. My dad would take me to see her. It was kinda scary because she had all these tubes, but I still wanted to see her and let her know things would be okay. Whenever I went to visit, there were always lots of kids there. Eventually, Simone came home but many of the kids stayed and some have been there for years.

Simone and I have so much. We have toys, food, friends and our health. We are happy. We want other kids to be happy too. So we decided that we can spread some holiday cheer by giving other kids toys.

We came up with the cause, Kids That Give Back. Simone and I are going to give one toy from our Christmas list to sick kids, but we also want to give the kids lots of other toys too. That’s where you guys come in. We want to raise $500, which we’ll use to buy toys to give to children at Children’s National Hospital and Hospital for Sick Children.

We are asking our friends and family to donate $20 each to help us reach our goal. We promise to use every last cent to purchase toys and books for kids at these hospitals. Sample things we plan to purchase are games, coloring books, crayons, dolls, action figures, toy cars, playing cards, and puzzles. With $500, we can buy 50+ toys and books for kids in need.

Our campaign will end on December 18th. Our parents promise to take pictures of us shopping for toys and pictures of us making the donation to the Hospitals.

We hope you will support our cause. Check out our pictures and video too.

It is the season for giving.

Thanks for your support.
