Being a family who has experienced pre-term labor and the heart wrenching stay in the NICU is what has motivated our Corporation to start something in honor of our son, Joseph M. Tanuvasa. He was born at 25 weeks gestation and lived for 8 days. He experienced complications with his lungs and development with other body organs. We, as his parents, not only were facing the struggles of having our first born in the NICU, but also the worry of hospital bills, our jobs, our bills, and every other worry of life and being able to survive. While staying at the NICU we didn't have anywhere to sleep or to be able to spend private time with other family members who came to visit. With a small waiting room and with no where to sleep and have a meal close to the NICU, we were faced with taking turns sleeping in our small car so that our son could feel our love and our comfort. We wanted to stay close to him so we could be by his side rooting him on to continue to fight to live. 

We have started this corporation to help alleviate the stress of other families who are currently experiencing their children in the NICU. We want to be able to provide groceries, assist with utility bills, hotel accommodations close to the hospital if they live further away , and other essential things so that they can be able to worry about the most important thing, their child fighting to live. 

With the donations, we want to help create a safe space and therapy center that will allow other families who are struggling with the loss of their child who was in the NICU or a child who is struggling with being born prematurely who suffer from development complications. These parents and families deserve to heal and deserve the support needed from a community of families who also know the feeling of these life changing events.

Your donations will extend and help so many families give the support and love needed at their child's bedside- rooting them on to continue to fight to live. Your donations will help create a safe space for a Father of a NICU baby that succumbed to their premature state and allow him to sit along other fathers to share his experience and receive the support needed. They will also be able to help a Mother still feel the love she needs to feel on a Mother's day where she yearns to be wrapped in the arms of her child that she had to bury by receiving a small gift in honor of them. 

There are things we can't control when it comes to the health and uncertainty of these babies, but there is one thing YOU can control in helping these families focus on creating lifelong memories with their children whose time is precious.
