“Love OSMF! Been a regular since ~2006 when it was still at
Old Settler's Park! Let's rally to keep the vibe alive!”

The strong support is assurance that as a 501(c)3 nonprofit Old Settler’s can count on our friends and family. Together we can preserve and improve the spirit and magic that is OSMF by getting the word out.

We are reaching out to you, our friends and family as well as all our media partners to help spread the word. The most powerful way to share our story is thru personal conversations and social media. Let’s make it possible for more music lovers to get involved.

Collectively we can continue the momentum. Spread the word. Share the link: Keep the Old Settler’s Vibe Alive. Donate today.

Our Forever Home

Thanks to our long-time commitment to financial prudence, Old Settler's Music Festival was able to purchase 145 beautiful acres of rolling hills, open meadows and wooded areas just an hour from downtown Austin in 2017.

We had planned to move the festival in 2019, but because of the abrupt termination of our 2018 location agreement, we found ourselves having to complete 20 months of land preparation in under nine months. The expenses associated with the unforeseen early move as well as other circumstances resulted in lost revenue this year. As a non-profit organization, we need your financial help to carry on the treasured tradition that is OSMF. Show your support today. Your donation is tax-deductible.

Our Mission

The Old Settler's mission is three-fold:  Do good for the community, do good for our fans, and do right by the music and the artists. In more formal terms, our mission is to “Bring a legacy of American roots music to a new age of listeners while preserving the music’s culture of family, friends & sense of community.”

The Music

From Iron & Wine and Michael Franti to Jason Isbell and Del McCoury, the April festival consistently delivers an exceptional, multi-generational music experience while showcasing a variety of artists.

"It's a great mix of established acts and up-and-coming ones," says music fan Jim O'Brien, who has attended 28 or 30 Old Settler's fests. "It draws good-hearted, music-loving people. It's my favorite festival of the year."

The Vibe

Says Texas Highways, "Like a smaller version of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, except with banjos and mandolins instead of accordians and pianos, Old Settler's reminds one how Austin used to feel. The crowd is made up of old hippies, young hippies, and free spirits who defy classification.... When folks describe OSMF they can't help but use the word 'vibe.'"

Being a registered 501(c) 3 nonprofit staffed almost entirely by unpaid volunteers also sets our music festival apart from many. The amazing music combined with the volunteers’ personal investment and sense of community results in OSMF’s pervasive spirit of friendship. Our smiles are real and infectious!

Help us keep the smiles happening. Make your tax-deductible donation now.

The Community

We're proud of the authentic music festival experience we create, but we're more proud that we’ve been financially able to give back to our community. Each year, a portion of our net income has been donated to other nonprofit agencies such as the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, Central Texas Food Bank, the Center for Texas Music History, and many others. We've also awarded a series of music-related college scholarships for students at Texas State and Austin Community College.  Support the Vibe

As a nonprofit organization, Old Settler’s depends on the kindness of friends like you—ticket buyers, sponsors, former and current volunteers, artists, recipients of free tickets, or supporters of any kind. Please make a tax-deductible contribution now to help KEEP THE VIBE ALIVE.
