We want to give a huge shout out to our partners at BNSF Railway for contributing $50,000 to our "Keep the Peace" Tribal Community Building Tour. We are so grateful for your continued support and generosity. Kw'alanuusha matash! Thank you all!
The "Keep the Peace" Tour is a massive tribal community building movement that is providing food, emergency supplies, and cleaning supplies to tribal communities negatively affected by covid throughout the Pacific Northwest. So far, Peacekeeper Society and our partners have facilitated drive thru distributions for Yakama, Warm Springs, Nez Perce and Umatilla Tribes totalling over $65,000 in household goods and nearly 85,000 lbs of nutritious food.
We are booked to provide distributions to Yakama, Puyallup, Spokane, Lummi and Chinook tribes and other tribes are already requesting assistance. What makes these distributions so unique is that they serve everyone in the communities regardless of age, color, ethnicity or enrollment status. No ID required. No one is ever turned away. The distributions are for everyone!
All donations from this fundraiser will go directly to paying for our operating expenses. It will buy supplies, food, cover travel costs, and pay our amazing workers on the front lines.
