Funds will support qualifying athletes competing at the AAU Junior Olympic Games  July 31 – August 7, 2021 in Humble, TX

KANSAS CITY, MO (July 2, 2021) – The Kansas City Blue Devils is a not-for-profit organization in youth and community development through various sports including basketball, football, track & field, and volleyball. Their programs combine sports participation and instruction with education, career development and community service to promote the physical, intellectual and emotional development of Kansas City youth on and off the field.

The Kansas City Blue Devils provide a lower cost option for families and youth in the area to participate in what has normally been very expensive sports and benefits those who would not normally have access to an athletic program due to lack of resources. Their mission is to promote a culture of excellence while providing opportunities that will enable our community youth to achieve the highest levels of success.

Although the Blue Devils are very fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who have donated countless hours to build this organization toward the personal growth of our youth, they are in need of additional support and are asking for your help.

Last month several Blue Devils Track & Field athletes qualified for the upcoming 2021 AAU Junior Olympic Games in Humble, TX.

The Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), which serves as a leader in international sports has more recently focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants for all ages beginning at the grass roots level. Their philosophy is “Sports for All, Forever”!

The Kansas City Blue Devils are looking to raise $10,000 to send qualifying athletes to this year’s AAU Olympic Games. The funds will help support the cost of registration, travel and accommodations.

Not everybody has a team they can call their own” says Bill Birmingham, President of the Kansas City Blue Devils. “In a city as big as ours and with as much chaos, it’s hard to know where to find a team you can call your own. We offer them a place with us” Bill stated.

This is a perfect chance for local athletes who otherwise would not have this opportunity to show the world what talented youth Kansas City has to offer. Please join us as our youth show pride in representing our community.

Donors will be provided a written gift of acknowledgement for their contribution per IRS regulations for any single contribution of $250 or more, unless otherwise requested.
