Kacey's Medical Service Dog

Kacey's Medical Service Dog

From Kacey Walker

Hi there! I am raising money to aid in getting a service dog. For those who don't know me or my conditions- a dog will help me immensely with cardiac alerts and responses, mobility assistance, and prevention of symptoms.

Small update :)

I've been trying to come to terms with my limits lately and it's been exhausting. I hate admitting when a simple task has been too much or that I get dizzy just standing up. This dog would help me with limiting the amount of small tasks that add up during the day, it would also help with the act of getting up or going up stairs.

I wouldn't wish this on anyone and I don't like asking for help, but I'm trying to come to terms with it, y'know? And this is the biggest step towards getting help that I can take right now.

Thanks for reading, and as always I'd be happy to answer any questions. Anything, even a simple share, would be appreciated <3

Update #2

Hey guys! A little bit of an update with this :) Any donations or simply sharing is appreciated, this dog would benefit me in so many ways and would help me gain some independence.

I found a notable breeder that I absolutely adore and has a reputation for puppies that go into some sort of service work whether that be Police or Medical. They are super sweet, local, AND they have puppies that would be born from late April to June.

Part of the funds that I raise here will be going to purchasing the dog. I am doing my research to make sure that this puppy will be healthy and ready to learn, and that the breeder is responsible. They are expensive for this reason- effort to upkeep healthy dogs and responsible breeding means that they need more money their time.

Again, any amount donated or even just shared is appreciated.

As always, I'll answer any and all questions if anyone has them!

Update #1

Hey guys! Thank you for visiting this page, I hope that this post will help you understand my fundraiser while I tell you a little bit about myself and where donations will be placed.

I am 22 years old and have had my Fibromyalgia diagnosis since I was 20. I've had two knee surgeries that have resulted in lower mobility and a condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. I have also struggled with tachycardia since I was 17 years old, and only now have I gotten an official diagnosis of Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia after symptoms worsening after my 2nd surgery.

This dog would greatly improve my life. A dog that could recognize when my blood pressure drops could be life saving as that tends to lead to fainting. It would also help when my mobility is low or pain is high to have a companion that can help me with tasks around the home.

Donations will go to everything about this dog. From purchasing a puppy to keeping them fed, every penny will go to allowing me to train a puppy and keeping them happy and healthy. They will also allow me to pay for assisting trainers that specialize in training dogs for medical alerts.
