From Heather Clark

The story starts in 1993 when my brother Markus was wrongly convicted. The trial took place in Georgia and he never had a grand jury. The grand jury never happened. I have exhausted my savings. The fight still continues.

Markus my brother was wrongly convicted

I have been on a journey to find my family for over 40 years. I finally found that I have two brothers and two sisters. In my journey I discovered that my father served in the United States Marine Corp and also served in Vietnam. When I finally discovered whom my father was he was already deceased. My father died from complication from exposure to agent Orange and unfortunately he was never able to claim the money that the Government has paid to the men and woman that where exposed to the agent orange. My father spent his life savings trying to help my brother Markus from being wrongly convicted. Unfortunately our father became even more sick and passed away. I have sent an attorney to visit with my brother Markus and she believes that he was wrongly convicted and that the town my brother went to trial in never had a real grand jury selection. This is going to be a long process and battle and many filings have to be done. I'm a single mom of three children in my home. In the last few years I am sure you have seen individuals such as Kim Kardashian and others helping to free people who don't belong in prison my brother Markus is one of these people. Markus has been in prison for 25 years. During the time that I have been studying and researching his case I have come across some disturbing and shocking information.I am trying to bring awareness to people about not only the injustice of my brother but other people of color locked up behind the business of mass incarceration
