To say thanks to those that helped my Dad survive Bowel cancer and to do my bit for future sufferers, in Sep i am participating in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain. 980 miles in 9 days. (that's NY to Disney in US money)
Cancer will play a role in all of our lives at some point, whether it be through a personal journey or that of a loved one. We will never fully beat cancer; cell division is a part of life and natures not perfect, bugs creep in. But through research (and lots of it), we can detect earlier and earlier and decrease its impact on life expectancy.
My Dad is currently in remission from bowel cancer; because of the millions of $'s raised for research, his survival rate is great and he will still get to see his grandson grow up (maybe he'll even get to see his son grow up too LOL)
