Thank you so much! We have reached the $10K Pledge!!!

More Info

On Friday, October 27, 2017, I stood up in front of hundreds of people in DC and pledged $10,000 to Becky's Fund to launch a 'Men of Code' Program in a local high school...an entire program!

With your support, I will honor this pledge, which is only the beginning of my work with Becky's Fund.

The reason I stood up and made this pledge is because I am  survivor of domestic violence. Survivor doesn't quite feel right because a part of the experience still lives inside of me to this day.  What happened in my household growing up could have been prevented and less severe if someone would have said something! I knew our neighbors could hear, I knew my extended family knew what was going on…and no one did anything…so it kept happening, and happening.

Emotional acknowledgment and development along with bystander intervention is WHY I stood up at that event.  This is what the Men of Code program teaches these young men - it ok to express your emotions...in fact, it's ok to feel emotional.

Bystander intervention is such an invaluable skills set for all of us because we are becoming numb as a society and saying prayers after tragedies.  People like me want to take action, and I know you are exactly like me.

Some people believe it’s NOT ok to interfere – it’s none of our business, or we do not feel safe or know how to intervene, or believe someone else must have already intervene. I want to make sure more people are taking action against violence and assault.

There are so many things going on right under our noses that we can prevent or make less severe for all of the victims involved. We all want to put an end to violence and assault, and I believe by educating young men about their emotions, empowering them and inspiring them with how to handle their emotions is why I am pledging a minimum of $10K to Becky’s Fund to launch a program in a local high school.

With your support, you honor me, the experience that still lives inside of me, and will have a direct impact on group of high school men, who will receive this incredible gift of compassion, education and empowerment to start healing, and creating more loving, empowered and empathetic group of men into our world.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart and know this is just the beginning. I am partnering with Becky's Fund to share more than just financial resources. I am working with them to become a mentor and a leader in creating this next generation of men.

With my heart and purpose,

Tiffany Houser
