As a nonprofit organization, our purpose is to build and operate Michigan's first hospice family specifically designed, from the ground up, for terminally-ill children and their families.
Joanne's Mark offers terminally-ill children and their families free, outdoor activities designed to empower them to fish, climb, swim, and trek beyond their heartaches and reclaim their emotional well-beings while connecting with those who love them most. The experiences are designed to allow the healing to happen naturally and organically. There are no structured "therapy" sessions.
Each activity is limited to four children and their immediately family, ensuring individualized care and an intimate experience with fellow survivors. All meals, accommodations and program activities are provided free of charge, including cost of travel, when needed.
