FATAL SOLO AUTO ACCIDENT ON SUNRISE BLVD On September 20, 2014 at approximately 2:00 AM, a solo automobile collision occurred on Sunrise Boulevard; north of Refinement Road. A white Ford pickup truck was traveling southbound Sunrise Boulevard when the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle veered off of the road and collided with a light pole, then into a tree. All efforts from passerby Samaritans to free the driver from the wreckage failed. The driver; a white male believed to be in his 30’s, perished inside. The preliminary cause of the collision is unknown and the collision remains under investigation.
