Jasmine's Adoption Journey

For those of you who don’t know, surprise! I’m adopting a sweet baby! Adopting has always been the way I envisioned growing my family but man oh man, adoption is expensive (with the average cost of domestic infant adoption costing between $35-50k)! Thankfully there are many adoption grants out there to help cut down on those costs but there have been so many people that have asked how they can help so I wanted to share this as an option for anyone who is interested. 

Rather than just crowdsourcing to assist with reducing costs, I decided to add a little bit of fun to the process and that’s where the Puzzle Piece Project comes into play. The puzzle piece represents the missing piece of a family that a child through adoption adds  So I’ve purchased a puzzle of the first photo posted here (Mama-to-be, est. 2023) and here’s how it goes: donors purchase a puzzle piece for the amount of $50 and will have their name/a short message written on the back (this can be done yourself or I can sign it for you). Once all of the pieces are sold, the puzzle is assembled and framed between two pieces of glass so the picture and signatures can be viewed. This puzzle becomes a keepsake hung in the nursery and allows the baby to grow up seeing how many amazing individuals helped to bring them home  Interested in making a larger donation? Buy multiple pieces! I'll put the pieces together so you have more room for your names and messages. 

In addition, anyone who contributes will be invited to a virtual “sip and see” via Zoom where you’ll get to “meet” the sweet babe and cheers to their arrival.
